My plan today is to finish Black Girl, Call Home. Not sure what I'm reading after that.

Yay! One of each!I finished a super short book, Hearts, Keys, and Puppetry but I logged it under the plans in the spreadsheet bc I don't really understand the colors in the completed tab.
Today, I'm reading Silencing Eve and listening to I've Got My Eyes on You.
And in the spirit of the readathon, I plan on baking some chocolate chip muffins. I peeked at the readathon recipes with thoughts of possibly making one but they are way over my skill level.
I've just finished The Great Alone and oh man, the heartbreak I have endured for fictional characters over the course of that book. I can't do any more reading tonight!I've put it down as "book set in the wilderness" to go towards our second mini roll.
Tomorrow, I'm planning to start A Pho Love Story which could be used as a comfort read or a book where food plays an important role (the two MCs are from families who run competing restaurants).
I was wondering, where we are pretty sure we won't be finishing a second Madeleine, should we move Killer Crab Cakes to another treat that we are likely to complete? It is also marked as fitting into A Place You'd Like to Visit or A Book Where Food Plays An Important Role. Just a thought :)
We could also move The Secret Lives Of Church Ladies by Deesha Philyaw to a book with a circle on the cover to get us closer to another Mini Roll. We have three for A Short Book at the moment.

I've started You've Been Warned which will fit under a book with a yellow cover.
I have a 500 page book that I started prior to the readathon that I could work on today. I believe I have 265 pages left. I will double check the spreadsheet before I start and if we still need that, I will work on it today. It's an audio so I can multitask it :)

Finished Clockwork Angel, added it to "A book set somewhere you'd like to visit" in case we get to a third Focaccia!

I'm listening to A Pho Love Story and also working on Like a Mule Bringing Ice Cream to the Sun for 'circle on the cover'. The latter is pretty short so I reckon I can do it in a day, and I'll probably finish Pho Love Story tomorrow or Saturday.
I also got another Audible credit today so if anyone has any recommendations for a short and good book set in Italy, I'd be happy to add that to my TBR and get to it sometime this weekend.

It's about 240 pages (6 hrs 44 min).
The weather here is awful. I'm through running around today so I will read all day. My current read is Blanche on the Lam. I probably won't finish today but will tomorrow.

Just had a look at my AtY challenge and realized I'm going to use Clockwork Angel for one of the prompts so we can move it to the "A book used for the 2022 ATY Reading Challenge" prompt if needed :)

Well done everyone. I can't believe it's Friday already. I finished A Line to Kill last night so we are only missing someone smiling on the cover for another cannoli.
I have found a Madeline book I can get through if we want to try for another Madeleine.
My work party took up most of yesterday, but I did listen to a bit of audio travelling there and back. I might be able to finish Bad Apples today for rural setting. I'll have a look to see if I have any short comfort reads for those mini rolls.

If we had another book set in France then we could move Jenn's book back to 'shell on the cover' (we have a few other options for 'place you'd like to visit').
Does anyone have a short book for the France prompt?
I'm still working on A Pho Love Story, and I also started Nine Goblins this morning before work. Both of them have smiling people on the covers but could also be considered comfort reads, so I'm happy to slot them in wherever.

I am trying to do a clean sweep of the Individual Challenge Bingo Board. I have 2.5 books left to read for that and then I can find a book set in France. If someone else gets to it first, that's even better!

Thanks for the reminder about the individual challenge. I keep forgetting about that and the individual tracking. I'm glad we're at the home stretch of the readathon... I was dreaming of spreadsheets last night. lol

I'm reading Christmas Cupcake Murder which can go for a comfort read. I read so many culinary mysteries, you'd think that one of the ones I have in hand would have a flavor word in the title!
I finished The Last Wish last night, added it to "A book by a new-to-you author" in case we go for a third Cannoli! :D

The version of Great Gatsby that you posted has a person smiling on the cover, that would be helpful. Gatsby would also work for a book with a grumpy/sour character (Tom) or a book where food plays an important role (all the parties). Those are both under Cannoli and I think we are very likely to get at least one more of those this weekend.

Just a little confirmation that we are doing an amazing job with the readathon: I *may* have done a little snooping on the other teams' spreadsheets and thought it was worth noting that we have the second highest number of sprinkles so far! We are also currently tied for second for number of completed bakery items. If we fill that slot for someone smiling on the cover, we will secure the second place position. Great job everyone. Keep up the great "work"!

I’ve just added Truly Madly Guilty for a book with an important meal.I’ve just started another book that would definitely work for comfort read. I might finish it tonight, but it’s more likely to be tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the other options for The Great Gatsby. I just kept looking at the cover, thinking 'no, that's not a smile or enough to be considered a smile.' Putting it for a smile on the cover will give us another cannoli! Yay Team Mixer!
I finished Christmas Cupcake Murder for a comfort read, so we can have another mini-roll. A comfort read is a vague enough prompt that many books can fit there, so I can always move Christmas Cupcake Murder to the next book in a series or a book where food plays an important role for another cannoli, if need be.I'm working on The Memory Police and will be starting The Big Four.

I’ve just finished In a Gilded Cage for next book in a series.I’ll have a look to see if I have any short books that would work for multiple prompts that no one is reading for at the moment. I know I could start reading
for book with a yellow cover as this prompt currently doesn’t have anyone reading for it, but it is quite long. It should also work for food playing an important role, but I think there are already a few options for that prompt.
Good Morning All, I hope to finish Blanche On The Lam by Barbara Neely Blanche White #1) today. She is the cook & housekeeper for a family while she’s on the lam. The book talks about what she is cooking for every meal & what a character does or doesn’t eat. I guess this book could count for a book where food plays an important role.
I’ve just started The Murder on the Links for a book set in France. It’s only about 200 pages, so I’ll be able to finish it today.
Ha! I just typed out this ungodly long post about my weekend plans (which revolved around a Book set in France), posted it and then realized the post JUST above mine was someone reading a book for that slot! I thought I had read all the new posts. Great reminder that I need to slow down and ABSORB what I am reading. Silly readathon brain!
I moved Killer Crab Cakes to 'shell on the cover' because that seems more difficult to fill than the slot it was currently in 'a place you'd like to visit'. My France book could fill that slot if no one gets to it sooner.
I started The Unhoneymooners which has a yellow cover and is set somewhere I want to visit. I'm hoping to finish it today but it depends how busy my evening gets. I could then try and find something short for tomorrow depending on what we need. I wasted about an hour this morning desperately searching Libby for books set in France or Italy that I wanted to read and couldn't find anything.

I finished Blanche on the Lam. I put it under cannoli, a book where food plays an important role. I'm not sure what my next read will be. My original plan was to pick up a book I put down when the read-a-thon started Black Leopard, Red Wolf. I have over 500 pages left to read so I won't finish by Sunday night. It would count as sprinkles but nothing else. I may still pick the book back up if I don't see anything I can complete by tomorrow that will help the team.
