That's wonderful! I hear about this happening often with popular titles.

But I also really like the ones you said you didn't...must be the phase of the moon.
I find I sometimes really prefer the Audible version of her stand-alones. Really like the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy on tape.
I don't particularly care for the Circle Trilogy or The Signs of Seven and the Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy. Has anyone heard anything about the new Guardians Trilogy that's starting this month? Good to know I can always depend on the JDR ID books!
For some reason, I just don't get as much out of the NR books as I do In Death. I really think she hit the jackpot when she came up with this series. I think I read somewhere that she originally was only going to write a trilogy. I'm so glad she didn't!

Stars of Fortune, first book in the Guardians Trilogy, releases on November 3. Have you checked out our sister group, Nora Roberts Groupies? We've got a discussion topic already started for the book. It will be the Book of the Month group read in November.

Mdy, it's not that I didn't like them. I did actually but not as much as the others. When it's good it is a solid read but some just go above and beyond in my enjoyment.
I agree @Sbyrd. The NRs are good. 3 stars. But, they're not even in the same league with the In Deaths!
Kirsten, I totally agree that she hit the jackpot with this series. She can retire as NR and still make money off JDR.

Wonderful!
Started yesterday. Who here likes Maeve? (view spoiler)Also, why did I have to wait until (view spoiler)
I'm up to Chapter 5....
The more I learn about the victim, Dorian, the sadder I get. She's done a great job in building empathy for him.

I almost through chapter 6 and finish getting my roarke fix...I am almost finished listening to another book and will be able to focus completely on this one. so far I am really enjoying it.
Mine turned up Tuesday afternoon on my Kobo. Thought about leaving it until the weekend but ended up reading through the night and into the morning. Looooved it. Now I have to wait until next year for the next book
I love that Peabody now has a signature look or I should say color lol. I remember when she first became a detective she was trying to find her detective style.
Lesley wrote: "Mine turned up Tuesday afternoon on my Kobo. Thought about leaving it until the weekend but ended up reading through the night and into the morning. Looooved it. Now I have to wait until next year..."No, you don't. She has a novella coming out at the end of the month -- Wonderment in Death. I've already pre-ordered it!
Not finished yet - 60% in. But, I tell you, it takes over my life. I end up muting the ball game and listening to the book!

Just finished it! This has to be the grisliest (sp?) ID I can remember. I loved the ending. Love the southern cop/deputy. Wouldn't it be nice to see him again in another book.
You know I am obsessed when I ignore NFL to finish the book. Not sure if it is just me or not, but the bad guys seem to get sicker and sicker with each book.
Dawn wrote: "You know I am obsessed when I ignore NFL to finish the book. Not sure if it is just me or not, but the bad guys seem to get sicker and sicker with each book."I agree. But, it's a good thing Good Guys are up to it.
I just finished and loved this book! And what a great ending, too.
I keep losing sight of how skilled Robb is in crafting the procedural aspects of the story. It at first feels interesting as they lay out the facts and starting creating connections, then gets a little mundane as they take a deeper dive and finally, those moments as things start to break and you get so excited it's hard to breathe. That's almost more exciting than the actual apprehension.
Well done.

Dawn wrote: "I agree Peabody is going some great responds all while protecting herself from Eve's wrath."The bit about the oxymoron???
