I have seen this book classified as both chick lit and romance, neither of these genres I normally read. I did enjoy this book, it was a nice and easy read.
I gave this book 3.5*

I don't normally read autobiography/memoirs but I've always been a fan of Gilmore Girls and thought I'd give this book a shot.
Lauren Graham has a wonderful way of setting up stories and circling back that can make a reader feel like they're talking with an old friend, and in on the inside jokes. Lovely.

I don't usually read political satires, aside from the political stuff this was an enjoyable read. I'm not sure which parts are a critique/satire of politics and what is genuinely an opinion the writer has, but most of it seems to be satire. It is quite bizarre, but that's what made me enjoy it. It does have some very detailed descriptions of mutilation, so don't read this if you don't want to come across that.
