Sorry, yes. Its Robert McCammon, so I thought that would be understood, but I guess some authors do write out of their typical genres and some readers don't know the author.Sorry.
I just wanted to double check because I hadn't heard of the author. It was definitely a full-length book, not a short story?
Absolutely. I'm pretty sure that the finding of the triceratops wasn't the main plot point of the book, more of a side story in it. Weird things happening around the area type of thing.
I've looked at that, keep coming back to it in fact, but I don't remember any of it and I don't want to buy it without knowing for sure.

Here is Wikipedia's detailed plot summary (with Spoilers) of Boy's Life by Robert R. McCammon - Brenna and Hunter's suggestion:

Wikipedia - "A short time later, the Brandywine Carnival comes to town. At the carnival, Cory and his friends see everything from the haunted house to a baby with one eye. Cory drags them off to see a creature that appears to be a triceratops. Davy Ray is deeply affected by seeing this animal, so when Cory learns the next day that someone helped the animal escape, he suspects it was Davy Ray."

I read this book sometime in the 90s. I've read his book descriptions, but I really can't recall anything else about the book, so none of them help much.
Thanks for any help!
