I quickly read both Quaker Midwife mysteries. Great historic details. The series is set in MA shortly after the Civil War. A different time period and an unusual sleuth - a Quaker midwife. The author set the mystery in the town where she lives. Enjoyed the mysteries and the characters.

message 50: by Helen (new)

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments Finished both my books for this month, Away with the Fairies (Phryne Fisher, #11) by Kerry Greenwood , read as an ebook, and Murder in Montparnasse (Phryne Fisher, #12) by Kerry Greenwood , read as an audiobook.

Some aspects of these books would not meet the purist’s definition of a cozy, but they certainly are classic murder mysteries in the Agatha Christie tradition.
