YA Dystopian Future - Some people are clones and have to do security checks before going into buildings

I can not get this out of my head. I am looking for a book from my youth. It takes place in a dystopian future. Protagonist is a girl. She has a scan her barcode, chip, something before she goes into any building to determine if she’s allowed to go into that building (hazard check I think?)z Later on in the book we find out that she’s scanning because she was a clone and there’s multiple versions of her and whoever’s controlling it want to make sure they don’t interact. I’m not 100% certain if this is from the book but I think there is something involved with a test on babies determine if they’re going to grow up and become criminals

Approximately which year did you read it?

Could it be the Bar Code series by Suzanne Weyn?
The reviews for the second book, The Bar Code Rebellion, mention clones of the protagonist

I would say it would’ve had to of been at least 15 years ago that I read the book if not more.

I don’t think that one is it. In that synopsis it looks like they have a choice of getting the barcode. In my book they have been coded since birth. And they do not know why. It may not necessarily be a barcode, they may just have to check into a location using their name or ID. I can’t clearly visualize that
