In the story I am trying to find, the man moves into an apartment that has a reputation for its prior residents committing suicide. He reassures his friend that he is not afraid, he will be fine. After moving in, he looks out his window into another apartment across the way and sees a girl who is mimicking his actions. He thinks it is cute and tells his friend. One day, his friend finds the man attempting to hang himself but saves him in time. The man says that it started with the girl mimicking him, but gradually, he found himself mimicking the girl.
