Heidi (heidiinrose) | 6 comments The cover of the book had a green forest with a small image of a young woman between the trees. Her body and ballgown are fully visible, not hidden behind a tree or anything.

This book was one I read in the 90s as a child in elementary school.

The main character is a young woman or girl. She is aware of being a character in a story. This was what I would consider meta or experimental ficiton. I never finished it because I didn't like it at the time. There was a lack of action, since the characters were driving the story.

Please help me remember! Thank you.

Heidi (heidiinrose) | 6 comments The story begins with a girl reading a book. She falls into the paper pages and becomes a character in the book she was reading.
