Review: This was my first book by Laurann Dohner and it reminded me the Breeds series by Lora Leigh so much! The New species have been created by human and animal DNA, got experimented on but now they are free.
The story was nothing new since I've read the Breeds series and the plot was engaging. Overall, an entertaining and sexy story.

It is extremely similar to Breeds, Elizabeth. I totally agree; I read them both but I prefer Breeds.

Sorry I haven't finished my book yet... Went with an audiobook I had on hand and the story is OK, but the narrator is not doing it for me... So I'm struggling to stay interested. Should be able to complete tomorrow.

Review: This is a generous three. I struggled with this new author's storyline, which has promise but frustrating at times. Jess is the only female werewolf and daughter to the Northern US Alpha. She has been protected and attempting to live a normal life when she shifts for the first time. This brings in enemy packs, vamps and a Sorceress into the picture as they battle. It's unclear what the agenda of the enemy is, but she does discover her mate in the process. To be fair, my reaction to story could be tainted by the narrator. Her accents on alternate characters like her brother Tyler and Danny's English accent sounded more like a speech impediment. I had already purchased the next two in the series and thankfully it's a different gal. Fingers crossed...
