I read it between 1998 and 2000. The woman is dropped by plane at a cabin in the woods (I think on an island) where she stays completely alone for a full year as a form of self imposed therapy. I remember the book being a teal green with an above view of a cabin as the cover. She orders supplies by radio and the plane drops them monthly. Her nightmares allude to childhood sexual abuse. At one point she remembers the third verse of the song Amazing Grace. I just want to re-read this as an adult because it made such an impression on me as a young teen- please help!

It's far from an exact match, but part of this sounds like Gerald's Game. Is there a chance you're conflating two books?

No. I read it a couple of times while I owned it, so I know it is one book.

I was around 12 years old when I read it, so I don’t remember a lot of those kind of details. It’s possible it was a YA book, but the mention of sexual assault makes me think it wasn’t.
