You ever have a book that you don't want to end because it is just that good? This was that book for me. I almost always love both the hero and heroine in Kresley Cole's IAD books, and Lucia and Garreth were no exception. It was set partially in the Amazonian rainforest, which was a new and interesting setting for me.
My only issue with the IAD books (including this one) is the massively overlapping timelines between books. Since I am not reading all the books one right after another, I end up slightly confused by what's going on in the overall story that spans the series. 1/2 star off for that. If there was a timeline that accompanied the book or something, I'd probably give that 1/2 star back. Heck, if there was a timeline on her website, I'd probably give it back, but I can't find one through my (admittedly half-hearted) googling.

Read a book that features more than one type of paranormal within the story

I'm kind of torn on this series. I really don't like the main character, but the story is so interesting, I can't help but continue reading. The first half of the book dragged a bit, but the second half definitely picked up the pace, and it became hard to put down. The final fight in this one was kind of anti-climactic, but I'm still interested to see what happens in the next book.

Wraped u my reader's choice one, so I will do a review tomorrow. Heading to bed.

It's been ages (at least a couple of years) since I read the first two books in this series, but it was relatively easy to get caught up. Great and funny characters. Seriously, big laughs from the completely over-the-top ridiculous characters, especially Satan and Theresa. Unique storyline. Loved Nick and Becca together. Overall, a pretty darn good read.

oh, the sausages! if Oberon ever writes his book - I want a a copy! but seriously, this book is about Atticus isn't it? His past comes back to haunt him again and the introduction of Owen is a snarky edition which i love!

Thanks, Belinda! It was a very nice birthday! :)

While I haven't been a huge fan of this series in general, this was a satisfying conclusion. I especially appreciated the epilogue letting us know what happened to all the characters. I still have my issues with Cicely and Grieve, but the overall story involving the Vampiric Fae was definitely interesting.

Love, love, LOVE this series! There's always plenty of action, mystery and giggles. Gwen is such a great character. She's strong, independent, and thinks for herself. There's some big shocks in this one, and the reapers are everywhere! And their out to set up Gwen for all of their actions, will she survive a trial for releasing Loki?

Title: Poison Promise by Jennifer Estep
Rating: ★★★★★
Read: 4/20 – 4/29
# pages: 400
Review: I keep thinking I’m going to get tired of this series by Jennifer Estep has great vision at keeping this series fresh while retaining the reoccurring list of characters.
In this installment, Gin is dragged into a situation involving one of her wait staff that has a past relationship with a dealer for one of Ashland’s biggest drug lords. Mayhem and destruction follows with another bad guy taken out of play.
So what did I like:
• Owen and Gin’s relationship seems back on track, although I admit to having a MAJOR panic attack near the end of the book over it. Nope, not going to tell you of my stupidity but based on the books previous events I think Ms. Estep set me up good and got me with that quick change about.
• Silvio!! Boy I really like how his character was developed in the book. I love his reserve and deadpan humor and I think he will be a great addition to the gang.
• Gin and her let’s take the fight to them attitude! I’m still left pondering how this evolve in future books but I was getting a bit tired of the number of dudes she was whacking while taking out the garbage.
So what didn’t I like:
• Not much actually. Although I do admit to being a teensy bit fed up with Brea’s attitude. I’m hoping her actions and the results of them (as she herself admitted) stick with her and finally resolve her issues with Gin.
Looking forward to the next installment, Black Widow, and the new dangerous thread that has was introduced to the series. If you have not started this series it is best read in order and is more urban fiction then paranormal romance.

Title: Moonglow by Kristen Callihan
Rating: ★★★★1/2
Read: April 9 - 17
# pages: 384
Review: Moonglow is the second installment in the Darkest London series and although it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone novel. I actually started this series with book #6 but the author does a great job of filling in the background without going overboard with it in each installment.
Moonglow is the story of Daisy Ellis Craigmore, the second of the Ellis sister, and Ian Ranulf, the Marquis of Northrup. Daisy is wild and impetuous and Ian is a bit of a rake and snob; which is a great setup for a romance story. Daisy is initially attacked in an alley while engaged in less than ladylike behavior. Ian is a shifter tracked a rogue werewolf that attacks Daisy in that alley.
The resultant story is full of twists and turns, along with a lot of chemistry between Daisy and Ian. I really enjoyed both of these characters and the inclusion of the other Ellis sisters (and their spouses) added to the depth of the Darkest London World. Also, the banter between Daisy and Ian is top-notch between these two as neither gave an inch and challenged the other continually.
Overall, this was a great story and can be read on its own. Fans of steampunk and paranormal romance may want to check this one out (as well as the rest of the series).

Aside from the insta-love, this book had me hooked, wombats and all! Cade was a great character and just tortured enough to be incredibly likeable. Jo seemed a perfect fit, even thou despite being related to the deveroux family she didn't believe in the supernatural even thou she's always completely surrounded by it! The last 50 pages had some interesting developments within the dark hunter world so read quick!

It always amazes me how much trouble Harry manages to find himself in lol. This book was no different, as Harry had to worry about a duel, recovering a famous Shroud, and battling a new supernatural foe. The action never stopped, and I had trouble putting the book down. I was glad to have some resolution to the Susan storyline. I'm very interested to see where the series goes from here!

I really enjoy this series. Not sure why I have such a hard time getting started with each book. Had some surprises that should make things interesting in future books. There was a lot of things happening and as usual you have no idea

I'm waffling between 3 and 4 stars. Because OMG Zane is hot stuff. And it was an interesting plot/"mystery". But overall, it was ok, but nothing to write home about. Jana was an okay heroine, kinda boring though. TBH, I think I'm just burning out reading all these books and finding them a chore to read which makes them harder to enjoy. It's normally a book I would love but it's just ok.
