I only saw the epilogue on FB as a sponsored book featured on facebook. The only thing I remember is the girl is nervous, her hands are sweating but she takes a deep breath to walk up to the podium (?) where she must place her hands on a magic globe to find out what magic she specializes in. She hears the people watching gasp real loud as there is a flash of light (?). That is the most I remember. I saw it on Facebook in January of 2022.

From the other side, three men in dark suits push a hulking metal contraption front and center. Attached to the front is a Crystal Ball that stands around five feet tall......Dylan shakes out his hands and touches the Crystal Ball with just the tips of his fingers. The instant he does, blinding light pours out....The walk to the stage seems endless. My hands shake as I climb the stairs...Reluctantly, I place my hand on the Crystal Ball....And then something does happen. A plume of black smoke appears, swirling and filling the ball completely. Not anymore, what I read when yo u suggested, didn't say that. Were did you find it? And I was looking for a girl! Darn it! no wonder I couldn't find it! Thank you!
I returned the book to the library so I can't give you a page number. The main character is a girl!
