YA Fantasy, starts of with a girl who is in some sort of jail until a boy breaks her out and takes her with him to train.

i think i read it around 2014 - 2017, and i unfortunately don’t remember a lot. so it started of with the main character who is a girl and she is in some sort of jail or priston. this was in a fantasy world and not a modern one, so no phones or any things like that i think. she then gets broken out of there by some guy that she doesn’t know. He takes her to this place where i think he and some other older dude wants to train her (for something i don’t remember why). i don’t think she was taken to this place willingly really. she must be important somehow. She might have had some powers.

I also remember the main character falling for this guy who broke her out, and he rejected her if that helps at all

It sounds a bit like Shatter Me, though I don't think she was rejected in the end.
