The prince just shook his head, "as I was saying, I could show Veraly to my father and I could show him that you're not trying to...kill him?"
"About the 'show' aspect" said Seth, "perhaps you mean introduce, as Veraly is not a rare species of endangered butterfly that you can simply 'show' to someone--"
"That's very specific Seth" said Veraly.

"Want to--" he paused and then said, "Ugh, you know the arranged marriages that happen?"
"No, but I am going to pretend that I do" said Seth, sarcastically, he did in fact know about the arranged marriages that happen amongst royalty...But he felt like giving him a hard time.
"Well I am stuck in one"
"Oh good for you, guess what, I--" began Seth before he was cut off by Veraly,
"I was orphaned, never adopted, and often looked down upon for my disability, your arranged marriage is petty in comparison" exclaimed Veraly.
"I...well" the prince began.
"So my marriage idea was correct then?" said Seth, "It wasn't it? You'd go for a woman you'd rather insult than a woman...who you were arranged to marry at your birth?"
"...What?" said the the prince, "uh..I..."

"Ember not now" said Seth in between his teeth, "I know you love lighting things on fire, but now is not the time--"
The prince looked around, he had not been scared before but now he inched further away from the group, "you know what-- how about-- how about we talk this issue over later? Alright?" He ran down the hall, hoping to alert the guards of an arsonist in his castle.
Seth facepalmed, "great, just great..."
(Don't worry my characters are equally insane. I have one character who has a habit of...stealing things that don't belong to them...).

"Strange that you should tell us that" said Seth, "don't you think you shouldn't tell 'criminals' about what you will do next?"
The prince stopped, realizing how stupid that was to tell them and then headed back to the group. And Veraly who still felt the urge to slap him across the face.
"I admit that was stupid" groaned the prince, "anyway, about the whole Veraly thing--" Seth glared at him, "--So, this does relate to my arranged marriage, I was thinking instead of marrying the girl I was supposed to marry, I could choose...her"
"Me?" said Veraly.
"I was right about the flirting" said Seth, "you're terrible at it."
"So I wouldn't have to go through with the unhappy marriage--" he began.
Seth raised an eyebrow, "I assure you, it will be an unhappy marriage either way, and also why choose a random girl you barely know?"
"I was thinking, it would show our citizens that a prince can love a peasant, and that they have a chance of becoming a part of the royal family, one day--" began the prince, Seth interrupted though,
"She isn't even from your kingdom, though, and besides isn't that sending the wrong message? When it is only likely to happen 1% of the time?" asked Seth.
"I..." the prince did not have an answer to that.

"Well what are you going to do now?" asked Veraly.
"Nothing, there's no point." he groaned, and stormed off leaving the group alone.
"Well that was interesting..." muttered Seth, "I hope we never meet him again."

Veraly did not believe a word he said, and she wished she could knock him down on the ground and give him a million bruises,
"But since we're talking about the issue with my father" he continued. "I suggest, that maybe" he glanced at Veraly, "you stay here, since you're...uh gentle, and the others can leave and me and her..."
"Do you have romantic feelings for Veraly?" interjected Seth, rather bluntly, "if so, you're horrible at flirting with her-- I mean I know nothing of romance myself but calling someone 'weak' is really not romantic..."
"Why would you think of such a thing?" said the prince, blushing deeply, "I was just suggesting that I could bring her to my father to prove that you come in peace, you know?"
"And to marry her?" asked Seth.
"Wait what? No..." said the prince.
