Write down recommendation requests (& responses to said requests) here!

Examples: “I recently watched [insert movie/tv show here] and would really like a book rec that’s similar to the plot.”
“I need to read a book that features [insert requirement here] for school. Any suggestions?”
“Any romance suggestions?”

You can also ask for us to help you find books you forgot, but please add the year you read it in and any details you can recall, the more detailed the better. ^^

Hi! I would recommend you to read Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas . It is an young adult mystery thriller with a plot twist.

I know a lot of people who adore the One of Us Is Lying series have also heavily loved A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. As far as I'm aware it's a trilogy as well. ^^ - Additionally, you could check out We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, which I know a lot of readers pick up when they buy One of Us is Lying.

I've seen a few people have rec'd The Traitor's Game by Jennifer A. Nielsen. Although, I have yet to read it myself.
In terms of the "solving" quests vibe, if you're into fantasy I would suggest checking out the Six of Crows series. It features a set of goals they are challenged with, the risk of rewards and money on the line, and also has a tv show out (which rumor has it Inheritance Games has an Amazon tv show in the works).

Hi Lunelleuad, Action-packed novels are definitely a niche, and most of the novels in that category will often be blended with fantasy elements. However, I did find this list from goodreads that features some action-packed books ( https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/... ). It features a lot of known titles that have been turned into shows/movies such as the hunger games, divergent, mortal instruments, and shadow & bone series. ~ I would also suggest checking out the Renegades trilogy if you're looking for more superhero-based action. Hope this helps!

First off, I love her books, so if you haven't read all of them, I would recommend that. But if you have, try Killing November and it's sequel Hunting November :)

Hi Emmi! Since English is my first language, I cannot promise that any of these recs will be very helpful. However, I will try to list some that I have found.

1. The Hunger Games - Hunger Games Series (also has a movie adaptation, so you could watch the movie first in your first language and then try to read the books as then you will have a gist of the plot)
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Harry Potter Series (also has a movie adaptation)
3. The Bad Beginning - A Series of Unfortunate Events (Although it is usually found in the children's section, these novels are very well known and I found they were even discussed in college by fellow classmates - Also has a tv show adaptation)
4. Hi-Lo Books - For Example: Stella Rising, Wonder Struck, - Rec'd by Teen Librarian ~ "These are great books for beginners who like ya, but a lot of these also deal with very personal life-like storis and controversial topics." (External Link to more books: https://epl.bibliocommons.com/list/sh... )

If I find anything personally in my reading journey, I'll be sure to send it your way!

Anyone have any recs for super short stories? I would love to read something, but I've been so busy lately I only have a few minutes prior to bed to read.

I don't know if you'd like them or if they are what you like to read but I really enjoyed The Thing Around Your Neck. It has various short stories in it. I really enjoyed reading them.

And Then There Were None is a pretty short read and is quite captivating...

I've heard a lot of people who are looking into more adult romance move towards the American Queen series. BookRiot also made a suggestion post as well: https://bookriot.com/books-like-the-s...
