Was reading a Gregg Olsen book. Really good, about 3/4 of the way through I realized - "This is fiction." Can't explain why it didn't 'jump' out at me that there were no interviews, it just was 'reading' like one of his TC books.
HE TOTALLY TRICKED ME!
HE TOTALLY TRICKED ME!

He seems to have deflected to the fiction side of the aisle.
I didn't even know what do to with this information so had to just leave it here. Someone at Reddit just said that after she struck her romantic rival 41x with an axe and got acquitted on a laughable psychiatric defense, Candy Montgomery became a children's therapist and lived happily ever after.Whisky. Tango. Foxtrot.

I found myself re-reading some of the true crime books I have and still dive into the stories and the serial killers that never cease to terrify everyone.
Kyle Rittenhouse now has his own shelf. I heard he had a book coming out and when I went to add it here, I was astonished to see 6 other books on the guy.
There are now all of 70 books on the 'Crimes By And Against Animals' shelf. Always open to more titles!
Patty Cannon now has her own shelf. She was a real piece of work: in conjunction with a male partner they kidnapped free black people and sold them back into slavery, killing many people in the process, so I have her not only under Patty Cannon but also under She Was No Lady (the female criminals shelf), Trafficking, Kidnapped, and Serial Murder. I guess she also needs to be under Historical True Crime.
As the year closes I am reading Breaking and Entering, an oral history of policewomen through the years. Full of interesting tidbits about the difficulty of policing in high heels with a purse, sexual harassment at the Academy and odd incidents like breaking up a fistfight just by walking onto the scene, which cracked up the guys fighting so much -- lookit that, a lady cop! -- that they forgot they were mad.
