I am a huge Louise Penny fan, and I love Elly Griffith's Dr. Ruth Galloway series. Set in Norfolk. Ruth is an archeologist and professor who is drawn into crime investigations. Very well drawn, compelling characters (including running side characters from book to book) and plenty of suspense and atmosphere. Lots of books in the series if you end up liking them, with another releasing this year.

Her Series is called WITCH'S LINK
Very well written and the steamy scenes in her book are fantastic. Plus alot of suspense.

D.L. Fletcher (dlfletcher) | 19 comments Hi

I probably shouldn't be commenting here but I am an author and would love for you to check out my books - The Dying Butterfly and or A Creation of Tomorrow.

They are very different from each other. The Dying Butterfly is post-apocalyptic, romance. The story is all about hope.

A Creation of Tomorrow is crime thriller but doesn't really fall there. It has a touch of romance, lots of drama.

As a former public librarian, I have many that I could recommend. But, I'll narrow them to a few. And a warning: I'm a Baby-Boomer, so many of these are "oldies," but hopefully goodies.

Like "Reacher series":

Robert Ludlum The Bourne Identity, etc.
Bill Granger The November Man, etc.
Kevin Lee Swaim Project Strikeforce, etc.
Roger Cave Red Queen, Medusa Defence, etc.

Like JJ March and Louise Penny:

Sue Grafton D is for Deadbeat
Elizabeth George A Great Deliverance, etc.
Deborah Crombie A Share in Death, etc,
Nevada Barr Deep South, etc.

Happy reading!

I could shoot you a pdf or epub version. If you like audible, its free on audiobookcodes UK. I can gaurantee listening to Randy Mccarten read it enhances a great experience. Keep writing.
