Feb 2022 Nominations

I have never read a Stephen King novel and as part of my 2022 resolutions I want to try new authors. Well, atleast he is new for me :-)

Mandu by Malati Ramachandran.
this was a book I really.really loved"
I second "Mandu"

Personally, I believe its important - coz some.of the suggestions could be moved then and can get their due recognition ? (lack of a better word)

We can. Depends on how many are nominated.

Its for when we get more nominations. Then books with more second are put on poll.

in that vein, I'd like to also suggest North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. I'd loved it when I'd first read it eons ago.
You can nominate only one book. I too loved North and South, and also, that BBC adaptation is fantastic.

Leena, it's lovely and if we leave small misses, it's very true to the original. Please, do watch it....

Will nominate another book in place of this, if I happen to find something else in the genre.

Persuasion is fine too. I mean, it's Jane Austen! Well, the universe is definitely conspiring into making me read a romance. :)
