Sales are so time consuming... the way I do it, I add tons of stuff to my cart, then I load up Hoopla/etc, and start doing searches to see what I can read without opening my wallet, and pare it down, and buy the stuff I can't get elsewhere or cheaper with KU pricing...

I have my Kindle app & eBook readers to swipe to change pages. I like it that way to simulate the turning of pages.

I need to change my KS password before I can back... and KS is being annoying... had to send a ticket to support, since password emails aren't arriving at my email... hopefully THAT email reaches my mailbox "within the next 3 business days"... they don't have a live chat option... I prefer those, these days... at least you can interact with someone and be sure something is happening...

Lingering issues from my browser saved logins wipe a few weeks ago... haven't accessed Kickstarter since the Dawnshard kickstarter a year or 2 ago...

Getting the audio option, obviously... I'm more forgiving of Kramer than Soo... I expect the Cosmere stuff to use them mostly, and the non-Cosmere to use someone else maybe?...

Also I like how the subject is almost treated like a recovering addict.

So far all the recipes the Ratkin makes has me really wanting some sweets! And it also makes me want to sit in a cafe.. which I probably haven't done since pre-pandemic.

Looking at my friends reviews of #10, the only person in this group that's read the series is RachelG... we should check with her about popping in, otherwise I'm fine with it... I probably won't start until Thursday... it's one of the books I deem easy to listen to at work... as much as I've been looking forward to this book for the past 5 years, I can wait another day :)

Finished L&L! Really liked this one.,. I think the book blurb was the perfect description really

Was so angry at Fennis for setting fire to Viv’s cafe, but he definitely got his comeuppance and without Viv reverting to violence! Hell yeah Amity!

I wish Baldree didn’t specifically say what the stone actually did and more let us guess that it draws like to like… I feel like that bit could have been left more of a mystery for speculation.

It really was only a dollop of romantic froth.. Was hoping for a little more, but what was there between Viv and Tandri was very sweet :)

I always appreciate a mysterious, dangerous older woman in charge of more shadowy operations.. The Madrigal reminds me a little of Reinhart from Wandering Inn

L&L - I've read a few chapters. I thought the beginning was too heavily crafted in an awkward manner in print. lol

Baldree really tried to be descriptive with short sentences & stuff. Heh A+ for effort. Between C+ to B- for results.

Audible finally made it easy to delete books from the Wish List. It used to glitch and sometimes cancel out. I'd have to go back into the Wish List and make my way back to the page I was on last.

Keep in mind that my Wish List is a mix of TBR/potential reads/mabye it'll go on sale/upcoming releases/Audible Plus books, etc.

It's like 76 pages now. XD

I was away from Internet today, so I couldn't log in and participate, but it gave me more time to read:) So I finished both AV2 and L&L... Really enjoyed them both!!!

AV2... Now I can't wait to get to the next book and find out what is going to happen with (view spoiler)[ The Big Axe!!! He is without his Axe and surrounded by the Villains!!!

Loved all the little details about the different cities, it gave it some real authenticity. Enjoyed those a ton!

The political position change in this book vs the previous one was great! Going from "security of the country has to be privatized and deregulated" to " the security of the country has to have stricter rules and regulations by the government" is a wonderful example of how both sides can be abused and perverted... Loved the arguments for each of them.

AV and the Big Axe are so cute together! Her trying to convince him to make out with another dude and the two of them deciding that they might have to eventually kill or be killed by their only couple friends had me laughing wholeheartedly:)))

Mrs. Oh is the best! Her husband was ... haha... surprising! And her relationship with her employees is one I wish I had with my boss:)

The scope of this book felt a bit more intimate than the one before, despite all the evil supervillains trying to take over The US. After all, they were not a whole another alien nation trying to take over the world... And having the main villain befriend Andrea Vernon and have girl talks with her, made the story much more personal. It is more subdued, but still smartly humorous and now I need to know more! L&L... (view spoiler)[ That was very light and pleasant read! I loved all the main characters, but the hob Cal was my personal favorite! I really enjoyed the blossoming of the romance and the whole thing read like a story to read before bed to a 14 and above, felt wholesome somehow... I could totally appreciate that. It was refreshing.

I was very touched by the whole rebuilding sequence and the tenderness of the romance... Viv was a very realistic character, and the Ratkin was the most adorable:)))

Emily, I totally got some donuts while reading about all those sweets! You just couldn't help but think about it the way he described those cinnamon rolls:))) (hide spoiler)]

I loved Project Hail Mary! I can't say anything for the quality of the audiobook, but I loved the story. One of my favorites from last year. Very feel good.
