The part that's going to sucker punch me is the Robin Hobb sales!!! The books are so cheap! I own the physical books and only have like 2 of the audiobooks.
I also have to bump up a few books and listen to them now. That way I can decide if it's a go to get the next books at the cheaper rate. XD

Have a feeling thats exactly what they'll do. Im glad thos one changed it up a bit.. beginning still pretty effed up (view spoiler)

(view spoiler)

A lot of the books I usually read I have to take breaks throughout the day and can only read a couple chapters before I start getting tired but Sanderson books are such easy reads

- Liked that it was different from books #1-3.
- Also cool to have other minor characters come into this one.
- Intro w/ Vivienne: What a messed up start, but that seems to be the MO for this author. lol
- Summary format is in play.
- Vivienne: She's spunky and I like it.
- Overall cool concepts, but it went into talk about the idea land a bit too much for me. Not enough to be on a soap box, but close enough to be preachy. Personally, cool ideas that should have been given more space to bloom. It felt like the ideas were overwhelming the actual plot.
- Listen to the author notes after the story. I should have realized the influence/spark for Nathaniel. =D
- Did anyone else see that wacko event coming? I did not.
- Nathaniel's Job: What did you guys think of it? It made total sense to me.
- Also, I love accordians, but not sure about how it's described in this book. XD

I love the choice of his job... I wish I could reach his level of complete comfort with who he is...

I didn't see the event coming at all!
I loved the dog, his friend John and his mother! They were all so nice...
I was surprised at how easy it was for him to perform his "miracles"... I am not truly in the camp of doing things that expand energy and not getting depleted or needing some type of recharge after... Nothing comes out of nothing... But he made it not too bothersome here...
I am interested in his connection through all those lives with the old man... I hope we get more on that...
When did they meet with Carrie before? Did we get any information on that?
I enjoyed it overall and found the author's experience in real life at the radio station very entertaining:)
Looking forward to next Monday:)))
I love accordions as well!!!

-I didn't see that event coming at all! I wasn't sure how his life was gonna pan out, so that whole bit was interesting. At least these books aren't super predictable!
-I too hope we see more about NM's connection with the old man..
-I don't think we got any info about NM's connection with Carrie, Choko... Maybe NM's past life, but we don't know who that was..
His job was honestly perfect for the life he was trying to live at first!
-Soo, agree with your there about ideas somewhat overwhelming the plot
-Also, not the biggest fan of all the summarizing plot thing Inmon has going on.
-His author's note was definitely interesting! Also I do like how in all the books he's incorporating some of the important bits of what's going on in the world. (even though he's mostly just listing them..)

I think she/they were hit hard by the pandemic blues, but last I saw, last summer/fall, she was writing again, on a secret project, I think?... she's semi-active on Twitter...
EDIT: She's hard at work on a new series... maybe working on book 2 already?... some reviewers have early copies of first book, I think... dug through the last few weeks of her twitter feed... not 100% sure on details, but looks promising, for sure...
Another series for Nirkatze/etc to add to the pile... Heartstrikers and DFZ (sequel spinoff series) and Eli Monpress are great series... Forever Fantasy Online is OK, and a husband/wife collab...

What got me, was Nevermore's company name (view spoiler)

I vaguely remember the old man in the last book, but not completely sure who Nathaniel was before his rebirth.
I'd like to see where Nathaniel went in his next phase. It doesn't sound like he's in the Watcher for the Machine bit.
The strongest aspect of these stories are the real interactions that the characters have with each other. I wish the author realized that's the strength in his writing and wrote more of that vs the long summaries. They're only long because he puts so much into it vs spreading it out. lol

Ya'll should share what you got. I will do the same. No way am I buying today though. lol
I'm totally going to dig into the sale, find the best $3-6 buck audiobooks and take full advantage. Bwahaha~

AV3
The Gilda Stories
The Thousand Names
Clean Sweep
I almost went and bought the rest of Alex Verus, but then checked my library and they're pretty easy to get the audio there so I removed them all lol

Was just about to ask about Eli Monpress... Might give that a shot too.

Hmm, paperback prices for audiobooks are my weakness! =D
My biggest problem with everything sales, is I don't have a large wishlist waiting to be plundered... I think of a couple things to check off the top of my head, and that's about it...

I like how this one had different stakes.. No world threateni..."
Just finished today, and I had the same end questions! (view spoiler)
And every time Mz. Oh has a simile line it made me crack a smile, if not a lol. For true LOL moments...mm... can't think of anything specifically, but I did enjoy Nevermore & AV, and Big Axe/Slammer a lot.
Any thoughts for book 3? Maybe Saturday?

The other thing I like to do is look at the New Releases and that'll point me towards series that I may want to look at. Hehehe

It's less than a credit, but not $5-7 range that I'm tossing into my cart.

Audiobooks on this list are between $3-8 bucks
- The Righteous #2
- Junkyard Veterans #4
- The Empire's Ruin #1
- Vlad Taltos series by Steven Brust
- October Daye & InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire
- Where the Drowned Girls Go #7
- Revenant Gun #3
- Confederation series by Tanya Huff

AV2, up to Ch 11...
I am definitely in the minority, but this is actually funnier to me than the first one. A bit more subtle, not so saturated with the humor, but it's relatable in a crazy sort of way:)
Our young couple has a couple friends!!! Yeah, they might have to kill them eventually, but they will think about it when that time comes:)) And the meeting of the Super-villains was hilarious! Their office is so... silicone valley!!! I haven't stopped smiling since I started listening to it! And the narrator is absolutely perfect for this book! A new favorite for sure!
Poor Big Axe! His male relatives suck! Well, AV's brother kind of sucks too... "Is that your sister?" "No, it's the Other one..."... Haha!
Living every minute of it!

It's 3 standalone books within the same world. You can read them in whatever order you want. Some of us have read 2 of the 3 books. I plan to read the 3rd one this year.
The Heroic Age: A Mortal Techniques Boxset

Oh, I loved that bit with the first super villain meeting. "We cut all our croissants in half at this hotel xD" Loved how AV thought she was being almost sneaky

Also trying to resist getting bundle pack audios for $5. That evil side of me saying, "even if it's a crappy story, it's 45hrs/3 books for $5!" It's a deal!
A deal that means nada if the books suck.
I'm definitely arguing with the sales shopper monster in my head. XD

Good to hear they're writing again :)
I've been missing the Heartstrikers and might reread a couple of those books. I could use a few feel good reads mixed in to my BRs.
