It surely was :) I'm in Ch 57 and (view spoiler)[was not disappointed by Jin's appearance at all. Now I'm laughing like crazy at just what he's gotten himself into with the all the leaders of the sects lol he's (un)officially become protector of the whole region. Hell the mountain even welcomed Jin much to everyone's surprise.

It's also nice with everyone pitching in to rebuild the town and that Sho Lan seems like she will make a full recovery. (hide spoiler)]

Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks - Going to catch up to current releases for this today. The main arc for this series has developed well!

Basic Premise: Most of this has been figured out by reading the series. It's like story clue. 😆
- Different planes of existence are connected to each other.
- Some souls are given the chance to "counterattack" by paying with a portion to all of their soul. Counterattack is basically another chance at life but that is based on the wishes of the soul. Most died with regrets/want revenge/etc.
- Soul strength (I believe) determines if a soul is given a chance to be a Player/Tasker or redo by counterattack. No rules on whether or not the person is good or bad.
- Taskers have a system interface to deal with tasks and soul spaces. It's like VR purgatory with nada but blank white room & system robot as interface/manager.
- Taskers start at zero level & have to go from newb to intermediate and so on. If one becomes strong enough as a soul and collects special items, they can make their own world plane.

Lots of cool stuff. Though most of the tasks are based on negative aspects so it could be a bit gloomy, but I like that the bare bones has to do with being true to one's beliefs, work hard to overcome difficulties, don't abuse power, knowledge learned & gained is best, and real relationships are not one sided.

Finished Dandelion at work this morning...

It's screaming to become a series, with the denouement... at the same time, I think it works perfectly as a standalone, given horror tropes being what they are (always leave the door open for future horror shenanigans)...

Curious what Alex Bledsoe is up to, these days...

Did a search... looks like Alex Bledsoe's mom and son died in 2018, right after the Tufa series ended, and that plus a shift in the publishing industry and a failed book idea, led to the 4 year lull... so I'm hopeful to see more books from him in the future...
