Ah yes, and also how both the CDC and USAMRIID wanted to take control of the situation, seemingly not caring about the best way to do it. Seemed more like a power struggle.

I read Newsflesh years ago... tried Parasitology last year and was disappointed... stopped after book 2...
Newsflesh is a great series. You need to add that your to TBR. =)Emily, I know right? I had a friend that's traveling and he posted a vid with him eating fried large black ants. He could handle eating the body okay but didn't like trying the head at all. LOL
I've had chocolate covered ants I think or some sort of meal worms. It was crunchy and yuck texture like weird plastic. lol

We read the books about twice in Vagabond. Once as Narilka was getting into it and then a re-read before the new book came out. We did BR's for #3 & 4 here.
@Soo, haha! I am glad he keeps on caring:) And I am glad to hear he is still friends with Pale! I am almost done with the first volume and liked how he got tricked into accepting his class:):):) And he is such a curmudgeon, even for really likable clients, he will not budge on the price he sets! Wow!!!

The first few chapters in the volume are a bit stiff. It's a mix of the translation and the absolutely miserable situation that Hyun is in. Once he sells his character, story moves quickly.

Blood Oath, 10 chapters in so far. I'm liking Cade. A vampire with a conscience. Sort of lol He's not above scaring the literal crap out of people. Zach really has no idea what he's in for.

Iain, like your spoilers in WI? LOL I keep wanting to tell people to not read your spoilers, but I like reading them because they're great tidbits to remember or think about. Hahahhahaha
If Farnsworth wrote another Cade book, I'd be first in line to read it. =D

On discord, some people get super angry about game spoilers in the idle game genre which tend to have tons of mechanics that unlocks over weeks or months... and I don't always tag everything I should, as a discussion gets out of hand...
LMS: Vol9.8Hyun's sister, Hye Yeon just totally bribed the whole dojo to help her make a surprise birthday party for Hyun. She promised to hook them up on blind dates with pretty college girls. Hahahahah
These guys are all about working out, eating to be healthy & strong, no clue about clothes, styling or how to talk to girls and get a date. Hahahah

It's a funky disconnect. Part of it is not realizing that you are supposed to be taking precautions, or maybe stuck on routine. Another part is not knowing exactly what kind of material you are dealing with and treating it as the least dangerous. The mind is a funny thing. The part about plastic bags and gloves were in the abridge audiobook. I thought it was going to lead to another spread.
They got EXTREMELY lucky that the Reston strain was not dangerous for humans.

Just finished it today and during the Reston part I was just waiting for people to start getting it. They really did get lucky there!
I do want to read a more updated book on Ebola, especially since the more recent outbreaks we had in the past ten years.
I haven't read Threshold 3 and 4 yet mostly because I saw they weren't as good as the first 2. If we BR'd them I'd be up for it though!
@Emily the author has another book that’s on the recent outbreak that happened around 2013-2016! I plan on reading it after the wandering inn.
This one? Crisis in the Red Zone: The Story of the Deadliest Ebola Outbreak in History, and of the Outbreaks to ComeI would definitely like to BR!
That’s the one! If it’s anything similar to the last book then it’ll be an interesting read.
