Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments I love Sean Barrett's narration of Mick Herron's novels, so I was really pleased to see that Wollongong City Libraries now has the full complement of the Slough House series, including the in-betweens. 5★s for The List.

Had this on my agenda since ages. Interesting content, but the writing style didn't click well with me.

Rachel (mimbza) | 697 comments The Bleeding of the Stone by Ibrahim al-Koni The Bleeding of the Stone by award-winning Libyan author Ibrahim al-Koni is a short book about a shepherd living in the Sahara desert. It has strong environmental themes about species extinction and reads like a Bedouin folktale with a dose of magical realism and Sufi mysticism. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Katherine Mansfield was one of New Zealand's most well-known authors, and I'm a fan. Her short stories are insightful and biting. Poor Miss Brill just wanted a little attention.

Carolyn | 9836 comments It was interesting to read Mick Herron's debut novel, Down Cemetery Road (The Oxford Investigations, #1) by Mick Herron Down Cemetery Road. While not up to the brilliance of his Slough House series it's still very good and there are lots of key traits evident already in his writing.
