Rowan MacDonald | 404 comments I just finished reading The Digger of Kokoda The Official Biography of Reg Chard by Daniel Lane The Digger of Kokoda: The Official Biography of Reg Chard by Daniel Lane.

I think it should be compulsory reading for all Aussies - absolutely harrowing what the likes of Reg and other young men (like my grandfather) went through to ensure Australians enjoy the freedoms and way of life we have today.

My review is here.

Carolyn | 9838 comments My review of Snapshot by Garry Disher Snapshot by Garry Disher, #3 in his Inspector Challis series. I didn't enjoy this episode as much as previous ones in the series. The investigation was slow (not a bad thing) and then was broken by some conveniently discovered clues and seemed to finish with a rush.
