Just starting this whopper. It's gonna take some dedication, but the strength of the reviews behind it leaves me optimistic.
Finally got around to reading "The Last House on Needless Street" and...oh boy. I was so sure I'd figured it out, then the book did a drop kick right on my chest.
I am currently listening "The Final Girl Support Group" by Grady Hendrix on Audible and I realy suggest it to everyone who likes audiobooks because the narrator is just amazing. Not just her voice but all this dramatisation it is fantastic experience. I am also currently reading "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" by R. L. Stevenson.

Enjoy, Dave! Betty is a rough ride, but it's worth it.

reread with my partner! he hasn't read it yet, and i've talked it up as one of the scariest books i've ever read so hoping i haven't set the bar too high, lol.

Yeah but I'm pretty sure if aliens visited tomorrow and saw what people do to animals they would turn right back around. I want to read it but I'm waiting for the "right moment" lol.

I bought it because I loved the cover, but glad to hear the guts of the book are just as awesome!

@Melanie - go for it (Needless Street)! It'll keep you hooked. And definitely get into it with as little info as possible.

I've got Tender is the Flesh on my TBR list, I'm going into it expecting it to be very dark. Honestly, I'm not expecting anyone to survive, either physically or mentally, by the end of it.
The Violent Season by Sara Walters so far it's pretty good. I'm about a third of the way through it.
I am reading
by Catriona Ward, the author of
.The book came out today, but I'm a little behind with my ARCS.

Tender is the Flesh might be too much for me. The dementia thread alone might be triggering and then the cannibalism… Bizarrely, mindless zombies are okay, but people - for some reason it crosses some innate boundary into something like depravity. Challenging myself is a good thing, but I have to pick the battles.

I just lost my mom, (not to dementia but she had it), and I don't think I can deal with that right now.

It's a reread for a CR group read. It's been a long time so I'd forgotten how quickly he gets down to business.

SundialFound this on the shelf at work today! I really enjoyed The Last House on Needless Street, so I'm excited to read "weird shit in the desert: the novel"!
I've only just started, but so far, I don't like any of the family. I'm not sure how this one will go with me.
After finishing a novel that was a 1/5 dud, I'm cleansing myself with a classic. Just started "Misery" by Stephen King!

I loved Cold Moon! I hope you do too.
I'm reading a two novella collection from Bev Vincent and Brian Keene.
.I'm hoping to bang out some novellas this month, if time allows.

He did that so very well.
I am currently (re-)reading the works of Alexander Dugin. Perhaps reading might help to explain what the fuck Putin is trying to achieve in Ukraine.
I'm reading Carrion Comfort, anyone read it??? How is it? no spoiler, please. Thanks!
