Yes. I think the audio was very good and worked well with the format of the book.

I'm also reading Danse MAcabre by King which is very interesting.

Marie | 4049 comments I started this book today:

Cunning Folk by Adam Nevill by Adam Nevill - it is good so far - a small slow burn but I hear that things heat up in the last half of the book so I am striving forward with anticipated glee! Of course that cover is just creepy as hell too - that is what nightmares are made of! :)

I recall enjoying Udolpho much more than Otranto.

Which is not to say it wasn't a chore.

message 77: by Emily (new)

Emily | 154 comments I'm currently re reading the hobbit. After I've finished the hobbit I'm going to also re read the lord of the rings trilogy. I have got all the audiobooks so I'm listening to them as I'm reading along. also the audiobooks are narrated by Andy serkis who played gollum in the films.

message 81: by Emily (new)

Emily | 154 comments @monica oh no that's a shame but I'm sure you will be able to get them eventually

message 82: by RWS (new)

RWS I'm reading Molly's Game at the moment, been wanting to read it since I saw the film. As usual the film leaves out a lot of detail and throws random things in that never happened. But I'm liking the book though, it's a well-written memoir, keeps you hooked.

Molly's Game From Hollywood's Elite to Wall Street's Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker by Molly Bloom

HR Giger by Taschen

I am reading a new edition published for the 40th anniversary of the Taschen publishing house, edited by Hans Werner Holzwarth. Goodreads insists this is the same book, since the ISBN 13 is an exact match.

Daniel Gessel (danielmgessel) Love Giger! Added to my TBR list.

Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs

2021 was supposed to become my Burroughs year, but I only managed to read The Last Words of Dutch Schultz: A Fiction in the Form of a Film Script. May 2022 be better for my reading goals.
