Hi I’m looking for this book, I was reading the preview on goodreads today but forgot to add it to my tbr and it logged me out 🥲 It’s about this senior, Connor(I think), who’s starting at a new school who’s an amazing athlete and is on a sports scholarship. His old team hates him because he “betrayed” them by going to a new fancy school. He is being raised by a single parent, his dad. When they were moving into their new house Connor gets help from his neighbor Trevor(?¿) and they both share a beer. The dad comes back and says he can grill Trevor a steak later that week because Trevor didn’t accept the cash tip.
The main girl is a wallflower who lost her mom 2 years ago. It begins with her tripping and falling and handing her excuse note to her teacher who tells her to sit down. Her seatmate is the new guy, Connor and he says hi but she doesn’t respond. That’s all I read up to. People said it was sad in the comments and it had a 4 star rating on goodreads. The book came out recently like in 2018 or 2019. Thank you !!
