YA SciFi trilogy. Girl on a compromised spaceship with an AI (artifical intelligence). Includes reports, conversations, videorecording descriptions. Written 2000 to early 2010s.

YA Sifi book.
I got it from the library a few years ago. I believe it was written in the early 2010s, though it definitely was written no earlier than 2000.
The storyline is a ship with a bunch of regular people on becomes compromised Due to an attack on the ship, and the AI, in order to conserve oxygen, begins sealing off certain parts of the spaceship killing people. There is a girl who’s trying to save the spaceship and I remember her falling for a boy. The boy becomes part of a group to defend the spaceship from the attackers and The AI tells her he dies. It turns out he didn’t die and she ends up rescuing him I think
The book is written in a very interesting way and that it’s told the reports, conversations, videorecording descriptions and partly by the AI that is going crazy.
Any help with amazing book series and I really want to reread it!
Also I vaguely remember the descriptions of the other two books if it helps

Almost positive this book is Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. It’s the first book in a series, set on a spaceship with an AI gaining sentience, and parts of the ship are being closed off to keep the spread of a virus at bay.

The series stars with Illuminae, but the sealing off parts are in part 3, Obsidio, I believe. This most definitely the right series though.
