Adult Thriller (maybe Horror?). The character(s) has to wear some sort of device that alerts someone (I think cops) if they are about to kill someone? I think? Found in 2020-2021, recent release.

I read/heard this synopsis within the last year, either from a book blogger/book YouTuber. It has something to do with the main character(s) are all part of some sort of experiment where they have to wear a bracelet, or a tracker of some kind, that alerts authorities (I think?) if they are about to murder someone? I’m assuming they are recently out of jail for murder or something of the sort. I’m sorry this is so vague, I’ve done all of the google combinations I can think of, with no luck.
