What a great set of reads! Love Sir PTerry!
What a great idea! Loved his books and his characters are wonderful. I too own most of his earlier works but not so many of his later ones, though I have read them all. I'd join you in your challenge but there are so many new books out there that I feel I want to read, but maybe I'll pick up one or two that suit my challenges as the year goes by! Don't suppose any have a tiger on the cover do they? I'll have to go take a look on my book shelf!
Wonderful idea Deborah! I've got a few of his books I haven't read so you might inspire me to fit some in this year. I'll be looking out for your reviews :)

My sister (not really active on GR) and I are going to try and buddy read some of them.Tiger? Well considering how complex Josh Kirby's cover art is I imagine there is EVERYTHING on them somewhere.

I'd join you in..."Thanks Katrhyn but I've read the two by Jack Higgins (Martin Fallon) books that have tiger in the title already. I've actually settled on a Neil Gaiman book called "Cinnamon" as it has a tiger on the cover - a childrens book so it won't take long!

No, nor have I - not for that many books, anyway! I've read all of the Anne of Green Gables books in quick succession, and read all of them several times, but there's only 8 of them, since I don't count the Chronicles and Further Chronicles. I feel like I'd get a bit fatigued if I read that many books that are in your list all by one author one after another! But maybe you'll break it up a little if you start feeling like that.

It could happen, I guess we will just see how we go. There are also good audiobooks for most of them so that might help break it up and I plan to read other things in between.

I started a re-read of all his books a few years ago and got to #22 The Last Continent before I stopped, so I might take you up on joining you in a buddy read later in the year :)

As is anyone else who would like to buddy on the discworld books. Me and Anna have just started on The Colour of Magic as we are going for Publication order.
Off to a good start, but I know the books get longer as the reading order progresses, and I don't even have them all, so that will be tricky.
Such great fun. I did this a couple of times over the years, once around Going Postal & again after Pterry died. I may do it again sometime :0)

As I had not read it for a long time, and did not well remember it, the reading was fresh and exciting with a surprise ending.
Now I am in a quandary ; after Wyrd Sisters, I think Pyramids is next, one of the few early Pratchett book I don't own. This could get tricky.

That is so kind of you Jane! I did not have Pyramids - not sure how that happened... but it is even now winging it's way toward me from book depository. And I would be hesitant about putting a signed copy in the mail, tbh.
Did you get to meet PTerry? I was never lucky enough, I kept missing him...

Glad you've got a copy coming. Yes I met him briefly at a book signing in Manchester when I lived in the UK. He signed my book 'May your camels be multiplied!". Would probably have been 1990.

Nice. I have a signed copy of Strata 'To Deborah - Lots more wishes' but did not meet him; my sister got it signed for me, when she saw him in Brisbane.

Just finished Maskerade a book I remember fondly but somehow never re-read. On this reading, I developed my review so that I can REMEMBER why I rarely re-read.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
In short, it comes down to the fact that while I LOVE the opera theme, and Agnes/Perdita, I do NOT love the Granny & Nanny team in this book, nor the ending. Still a fine book mind you - just not my favourite from Sir PTerry.
Finished Hogfather. Now, I am not crazy about the representation of Susan in this book; I love her as the poker wielding governess. I like her a lot less as the sulky, angry must-be-coerced into joining the story character. Not saying it does not work, in a way, just not my favourite Susan. In the end it all comes together, but along the way it can feel a bit fragmented and crumblie.JINGO on the other hand, is marvellous every paragraph of the way. So much so that I read it really fast. It has some brilliant humour about warfare and it's mythology. I LOVED what he did with Klatch and I suspect that the island of Leshp is at least slightly based on that tiny Channel Island that England and France were fighting over/are still fighting over. Where island=rock.
Anyway, off to the next one, I enjoyed Jingo too much not to move onto the next fast, but it may disappoint by comparison.
You've done well, Deborah.Where's My Cow? was supposed to be a companion to Snuff but I didn't get a copy with mine, perhaps they ran out. I kick myself for not making a fuss because I'll never see one now, although apparently they do exist.

They are pretty easy to buy actually - I see them all the time on book depo and stuff. Never heard of them being given out as a companion though. Everyone I know who has one bought it.
I hear you about kicking oneself. If I had known then what I know now, I would have a complete set of early, first editions, which, when sold, would pay off my mortgage...
25th December! Only two to go. This may be a challenge I fail since I don't own either of the two last books, the library does not seem to have them either.Ah well, I am pretty close at least.

Mine has them both in e-book format. Check out other libraries. In NSW you can join any library in the state, other states may do something similar.

It is a bit of a shot in the dark it either arrives or it does not.
The audiobooks are worse; they don't tell you which app it is available on and there are a dozen apps. It is a bit of a mess.

Mine always tells me what platform it's on (Overdrive, Borrowbox, Hoopla, etc.) & when it will become available to me electronically, or where I am on the list if it's a physical book (say, 4 of 7).
It is the 29th of December. I must admit defeat, I think as I have still not go my hands on the last two books. Still, I will keep going, when I get them. After all, that first month in the new year everyone gets confused at times and signs things with last year - so I will call it honorary 2022 until I finish the Discworld.
Yup, finished all but The Shepherd's Crown which I read 2023, and Raising Steam which I still have not got my hands on.So close...
yet so far away...

The last continent is an interesting book. It can be a bit disjointed as it moves between the wizards and Rincewind but PTerry's long time affection for, and fascinating with Australia really comes through.

I return to The Last Continent intermittently. It's so delightfully speckled with Australianisms, and there's a fabulous bit about one of our monotremes!

I am going to revisit the Discword this year and re-read all my Terry Pratchett books, (or at least all teh Discworld ones) and try and complete my collection, I don't have a lot of his latter books (* means I dont have it, whethere I have read it or not).
And, in compiling this list, I realised he went back and wrote some extra X.x stories I had never heard of.
I might divert into some of his other books as well, but the Discworld list is the aim. I can't believe it is seven years since his death.
