Finished my first pick, Whistling Past the Graveyard. Thank you for picking this Denise, what a gem of a book! 💖💖💖💖💖
I liked that book a lot too, Beth!
I finished
and its sequel
(which was picked for me in another group, conveniently) and now am all caught up in this series. Four more PIFMs to go!

I finished it a couple of days ago as well, Gaylinn. I like that author.

I finished my first pick The Shadow Sister this has been my favourite, I was so impressed with both the strong, independent animal loving women from the past, and the quirky bookshop that allowed you to sit in front of a fire, reading and being given coffee from the current time, I could just read it all over again. 5* read
Finished book #1 of 3 for January:
I, Robot by Isaac Asimov - 4* - My Review
Glad I finally got around to reading this SciFi classic.
I finished my second pick White Nights yesterday, will round up to 3.5*, and I like the sound of somewhere where you can still read outside at midnight! I messed up with my third pick, which I am saving for next week, I forgot that while I bought Interlude Part 1, I then bought all 3 parts, and at the rate I'm reading, I might as well read the combined version
Finished my second pick, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City
Giving it 3.5. Liked the anti hero and it was very funny at times.
Finished my second PIFM
LegendbornThis YA Fantasy is a retelling of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table set on the campus of UNC-Chappel Hill.
⭐⭐⭐💫
So this month ends on a high note with two great PIFMs!
Thanks Jackie! ☺️

Wonderful, so glad you liked them!
Finished the last two of my three for January:
The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai - 1/23/22 - 4* - My Review
The Secret River by Kate Grenville - 1/24/22 - 4* - My Review
A great month of reading! Thanks, Martha!
Finished my last two picks:
which was riveting, and
which was set in one of my favorite time periods for historicals, WWII. Great picks this month!

I just finished up the third book that you picked for me.
The Tiger King is 5 stars, Under the Whispering Door is 4.5 stars and Pop 1280 squeezed by with 3 stars.

Finished
, gave it 5 stars. I felt like I was transported to Pastoral and immersed right into the middle of this story. Secrets, Lies and Mystery and that is just the beginning. The story had interesting characters and I loved all the little breadcrumbs that were weaved through out the story.
I just read the description of that - sounds twisty!
Gaylinn, no worries, we’ll look for you when we see you! Feel better.

Finished Her Hidden Genius. enjoyed the parts of her life outside the lab. But the science was just too much for me. This is definitely not a favorite of mine from this author.
