Wow, the James Webb Telescope is soooooo coool!So the telescope is going to be used to study galaxies that are so far away, that the light from those galaxies reach us after many light-years (A light-year is the distance light travels in one Earth year). It's similar to going back in time.
Also, it's going to be used to study exoplanets.
The most interesting thing that this telescope will be used for, is to study the period of "cosmic dawn". When Big Bang happened, our universe was a dark place without light. The period when light started appearing in our universe is known as the "cosmic dawn". It's always so fascinating to understand how the universe was formed, and the different phases it went through.
The telescope launched on the 25th of December, 2021.
There is soooooooo much more that we need to learn about our universe!
