Toni Fuller (tonifuller03) I have set up themes for each month to help clean off my bookshelf (and Kindle), so my 12 books will be one book for each monthly challenge.

*January - BOTM books (I have MANY that I have not read yet, so this month will focus on those.
The Winter Sister - finished 1/2/22

*February - Truly Devious series (I have all four)
Truly Devious

*March - Keeper of the Lost Cities (my daughter's favorite book series and the whole reason she wants to be an author - I've read three so far)
Neverseen

*April - Ballet themed, as I seem to have a few
The Ballerinas

*May - Natasha Preston books (I've read one and have most)
The Lost

*June - Jenny Han Summer series (for my beach vacation)
The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy: The Summer I Turned Pretty; It's Not Summer Without You; We'll Always Have Summer

*July - Court of Thorns and Roses series - my daughter is dying for me to read these
A Court of Thorns and Roses

*August - in honor of my daughter's birthday month, (who is named Kyndle), I will clean off my Kindle
Dazed and Divorced

*September - Lunar Chronicles - another I promised my daughter I would read
Cinder

*October - The Babysitter's Coven series
The Babysitters Coven

November - YA theme
Midnight Sun

December - Christmas/December theme
One Day in December

Let's hope this works. And that I clear off more books than I purchase each month. ;)

Haha, thank you! My daughter should have the same challenge - she probably has more TBR than I do (with more coming for Christmas)!

And your daughter sounds like my youngest as well! Tons of books around.

Yes! She goes to a governor's school for the arts and is in the literary arts program! Plans on going to a college to major in creative writing. Books for fun and books on writing are all over the place in her room.

Now, why didn't I think of that!?? Great idea, Toni!

I can tell you right now, your daughter has good taste. The LUnar Chronicles is a very good YA series. Make sure you read the in-between book; which is Fairest. I loved it the most.

Thanks!! I'm hoping that by switching up the themes, I won't get bored AND I'll clean off the shelf.

She loves fantasy books (she read Shannon Messenger's books in middle school and still adores those books [read several times] and it has gone from there). She has the whole series, so I'll be sure to read them all!!

Haha, thank you! I think several husbands would appreciate this, lol.

Thank you! I'm excited as I've been putting off several of these for a while!

Good luck with your challenge, nice selection. I read Cinder last year and have been meaning to read the rest of the series

I feel the same. If I switch things up, will that keep me from getting moody??

Your husband doesn't have a clue.. :0) Luckily my wife hasn't told me that yet. Enjoy your challenge.

message 16: by John (new)

John I've slotted in January and December, but the other months will be spontaneous decisions - good luck to you!

message 17: by Lea (new)

Lea (leaspot) | 3636 comments Toni, my hubby wants to join yours and all the abandoned spouses around here who have to rearrange their lives around our books and reading schedules. :-) I can get him to listen to an audiobook, but that's about it! I am still reading A Court of Thorns and Roses series although I think I actually preferred Throne of Glass. Cinder is one of my favorite series of all time - and Alondra is not wrong - don't skip Fairest! Hope you have fun with your list.

message 18: by Emily (new)

Emily (readerlover1995) | 195 comments Good luck, Toni! Great way of selection; my bookshelf never seems to empty, only fill up. I’ve only heard of Truly Devious (which I have a desire to read) and the Keeper of the Lost Cities. Good luck and enjoy! 🐾

message 19: by Ioana (new)

Ioana | 2126 comments Interesting way to pick out books, I really like it. I've only read Cinder, and surprisingly I loved it. It's definitely not one of my genres...
I hope you like all your selections, happy reading!

Toni Fuller (tonifuller03) Book #1 for this challenge is done. The Winter Sister was a good start to the new year and I really enjoyed it!

John Good start! I'm planning on one each month myself, though will decide as I go which is next.
