Nike | 117 comments I really liked Gertrud by Hermann Hesse by Hermann Hesse

But I feel frustrated over the prejudices about people with some mobility difficulties (and of course with other kind of difficulties), that it was so obvious that a person walking with a stick was doomed. But it is beautifully written and here is my short review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Nike | 117 comments Read my review of Den azurblå stäppen/Tales of the Don here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Heavy reading, especially since I by a mere coincidence started reading it just a few days before the war in Ukraine and I didn't even know that the book depicts the war in the very same region one hundred years ago. A most incredible coincidence.
