75% (view spoiler)[ the turns in this tale are not what i thought they would be. it's not as dramatic as the last story; the cops haven't really played a part like they did in the first book. Lydia's conundrum is a bit worrisome, but why is she not trusting in her sister?? although i like Lord Ingram and Charlotte's relationship, but i like Lord Bancroft's support of Charlotte as well. Finished (view spoiler)[ oh snap, she does it again! I 100% did NOT see Bancroft coming! I love the flashbacks to the beginning of the book and playing it out in parts. It gave time to connect but also to digest. Charlotte laid it alll out over tea! She cray and I am all about her stories. I'm loving the planning stages of this heist. I like seeing everyone working together to figure out how to get in and steal the painting.

I'm surprised by what's in the letters as I was expecting more along the line of an affair.

Well I wasn't expecting the Lady Ingram addition to this story. But the explanation for her being there makes sense and definitely adds to the mystery.

I'm still very curious how the group will pull off stealing the painting.

I loved the heist portion of this. Their plan was so well thought out and I loved how they executed it.

Mrs. Treadles keeping information from Holmes doesn't look good. I wonder why she chose to hold back about the second victim? I don't see the Inspector as being a killer but then again, it is possible.

I like that Alice finally stood up for herself at Cousins. It's her company and it's time she start acting like it. Mrs. Watson is great at pep talks.

One of the victims (Sullivan) seems to be quite disliked so I wonder if he's the reason he and his uncle were killed.

So it's looking like Sullivan might have been skimming from the company? If so, that's definitely a motive to kill him. But what about Mr. Longstead? Maybe he found out? I just want to know what happened already.

I didn't expect the murders to have happened the way they did. But it fits and it makes sense how the Inspector ended up there.

Moriarty knowing who Charlotte is can't be good for her. It's not implausible that he would, but I'm curious what exactly he knows? Does he know how Holmes & Co have thwarted him? Also, thinking there has to be more to this thing with the daughter then he let on.
