I love how Charlotte refuses to be dissuaded from what she wants. She's very analytical, coming up with plans to get her exactly what she wants.

I've forgotten most of this book, so I'm excited to see how Charlotte connects the three deaths.

Watching Charlotte work as she points out so many things about Mrs. Jebediah was such a great scene. She really does notice things no one else does.

I'm enjoying the investigation into the deaths although it is a bit slower than I remembered.

I love the pairing of Holmes and Watson. These two work so well together and they're already developing a genuine friendship.

We get bits of the history between Charlotte and Ingram here which is great. I can't wait to see how things progress between them as the series goes on.

The introduction of Moriarty's character is well done and I'm looking forward to future matches of them and Holmes.

Still really enjoyed this one and will be keeping my rating at 4 stars. I definitely need to pick up book 2 soon so I can finally continue on with the ones I haven't read.

well at least those 2 busybodies have proved themselves useful helping Livia discover Lady Ingram’s body. I can’t believe they had the nerve to search everyone’s rooms like that. It’s a shame Livia isn’t more assertive although I have to say she’s stood up to them more than I expected.
I’m enjoying seeing more of Livia in this one.
I’m surprised Charlotte didn’t know about the place Bernadine is staying. I assumed it was her paying for it. (hide spoiler)]

Ingram is going to be quite upset when he finds out what Charlotte has been doing for his wife.

I'm looking forward to seeing how all these threads are connected (i.e the possible imposter and the dead man). Also, I'd like more scenes of the Inspector with Ingram or Charlotte. There's an interesting dynamic there after he found out she's Sherlock.

Like the first book I still really enjoyed this one and will be keeping my rating of 4 stars. I'm excited to get to book 3 (and the rest) for the first time.

I read the short story in the series before I pick up the third book in the next few days. It's not long enough to make a bunch of comments on but I do recommend it as it's a clever side story.

I am so curious what became of that meeting between Charlotte and Moriarty at the end of the prologue.

It definitely won't help Lord Ingram that the 2 biggest busybodies found Lady Ingram's body after they already suspected he did something to her. I am so curious about how she ended up dead on the estate? I wonder if Moriarty had something to do with it.

Ok I love that Charlotte is in full disguise as the brother of Sherlock Holmes. Treadles' reaction when he realized was great.

Fowler definitely thinks Ingram killed his wife. I'm looking forward to seeing Charlotte prove him wrong. Though I am curious as to who actually did it.

I'm happy Charlotte and Ash got together finally. I've been waiting for that for three books. I'm curious how their friendship will be going forward.

Things are definitely looking worse and worse for Ash where Fowler is concerned. I don't like that Fowler is ignoring things that would suggest Ash didn't do it just because Fowler wants it to be him.

Wow I did not see it coming that it was Bancroft all along. Great job to the author on keeping that hidden.

The reveals of how Charlotte and Ingram pulled everything off were very well done.

I really enjoyed this one, I think it was my favorite one yet. Going to go with 4.5 stars and I'm looking forward to reading book 4 soon.
