Remember that mass produced covers are targeted at the masses. While viewing a catalog at the library a couple of months ago, I came across three different books sporting the exact same cover. So, I guess it would be more unusual not to occasionally come across duplications.

As Jamie said it will be common given that when you use a royalty free image more people are bound to use it. As long as it doesn't upset you then I suppose it's all good. I'd suggest looking into a cover artist for future covers, most don't charge a lot and you have input on what you'd like.
Here's my cover artist that I use, she has good prices and does excellent work,

R.F.G.,
Good point. I always wanted to read that book, but never got around to it. Now, with the early stages of arthritis appearing in some of my joints, I guess it's too late.

I'm 56, a bit broken, have some arthritis, and my youngest child is 15 months old.
Some things are only too late when you're planted under the daisies.
I have just discovered that another author has used the same royalty free image for a book cover that I have also used on one of mine. Obviously this is fine as it's a royalty free image so neither of us owns it at all, but I wondered how common this sort of situation is. It's certainly not a situation I've come across before.
