I’m pretty sure it was an adventure romance genre. I read this around 2015-2016.
They see each other in dreams
[SPOILER?] because a doctor experimented on them when they were younger. I’m pretty sure they met at the doctors because they had bad nightmares then recognized each other. Later on in the story they went to their old doctors office looking for answers.

I read this years ago so i don’t know the exact details but I know that they are 100% human not werewolf or vampire like other books that have the dream sharing plot.

Location. They met in there dreams then again when looking for answers to there nightmares. They weee taken to the doctor when they were kids.
