Alyssa (alykat1) | 2 comments I'm desperately attempting to find out the title of a children's board book about the months of the year. It was an older book, but I don't honestly know if it was part of my brother's childhood or my father's, so it could be from the 1960s or 80s. It was a colorful board book, oddly shaped though, like the top was rounded but the bottom squared off like a regular book. The rounded top was a rising sun. It was spiral bound in plastic, like a notebook. It went through each month of the year and on the back was a poem about the days of the week. Apparently that poem is a popular nursery rhyme for kids about Monday's child and so on. I only remember Wednesday's child is full of woe. I wish I could better describe the art style because that is what was so prominent about it (being a children's book, that makes sense). I'll try to post again if I can think of a better way to describe the art style!

Florence | 683 comments The poem is:
Mondays child is fair of face
Tuesdays child is full of grace
Wednesdays child is full of woe
Thursdays child has far to go
Fridays child is loving and giving
Saturdays child works hard for a living
But the child that is born on the sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.
