Aaron is starin’ at Moses’ toeses and thinking he ought to leave. But Moses is owin’ Aaron a tearin’ for the time he told him to leave.

message 13021: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2065 comments Cats are way too moody. Just like goats. That’s why I like sheep and dogs better. (Literally my first thought 🤣)

message 13022: by Mary-Therese (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 2967 comments And that is why Dog is mans best friend, and we count sheep, lol

message 13023: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 30, 2023 07:22AM) (new)

But cats are for writers and independent thinkers. That's why cat people don't count sheep, for our lives are not directed by others ;) We are the free ones.

(“These solitary ones who are free in spirit know thatin one thing or another they must constantly put on an appearance that is different from the way they think; although they want nothing but truth and honesty, they are entangled in a web of misunderstandings. And despite their keen desire, they cannot prevent a fog of false opinions, of accommodation, of halfway concessions, of indulgent silence, of erroneous interpretation from settling on everything they do. And so a cloud of melancholy gathers around their brow, for such natures hate the necessity of appearances more than death, and their persistent bitterness about this makes them volatile and menacing. From time to time they take revenge for their violent selfconcealment, for their coerced constraint. They emerge from their caves with horrible expressions on their faces; at such times their words and deeds are explosions, and it is even possible for them to destroy themselves.”

― Friedrich Nietzsche, Untimely Meditations)

Mary-Therese P. | 2967 comments Spite is the best motivator (First thought from Nietzsche)

message 13025: by [deleted user] (new)

I disagree :) Love is the best motivator. Energy derived from spite depletes quickly, and when it does it hollows out the person who relied on it. Love, though, never runs out and it fills to the brim the heart of one who trusts in it.

I LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE Anastasia the musical. okay, I'm really weird, but I have been OBSESSED with all things Romanov since I was 5, and since 2020 I have been hardcore obsessed with Musical Theatre, so Anastasia is one of my very favorite things, and Ramin Keiramloo is INCREDIBLE in it! like, Still??? The Quartet at the Ballet??? THE NEVA FLOWS??? I can't even. the man is a masterpiece of humanity, XD))

Oh, I've seen Les Miserables and let me tell you it was sooo borrrring 😏 I'd rather do maths (first thought)

message 13043: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 30, 2023 10:15AM) (new)

(I'm joking Mary 😅 Les is a masterpiece. You'd have to be an ignoramus, or lack any kind of cultural refinement, to dislike that film.)

Edit: To really sound British, I should've said

Don't be daft luv, I'm just taking the piss out of ya (but that's a cuss word for Americans?)

Mary-Therese P. | 2967 comments (Oh, thank goodness! I was really worried that would out a strain on our friendship. it really is a masterpiece. I love it so much! it's one of the fives movies I've cried during in my life.)

First thought: It is a universal rule that when a man sees another man with a beard greater than his that he will instantly develop something that's akin to a "man crush."

(idek 😂)

message 13046: by Mary-Therese (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 2967 comments It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

message 13047: by [deleted user] (new)

" They will think of their brethren laden with responsibilities and repeat to themselves the smiling remark of Lacordaire about Ozanam: 'There is one snare that he did not succeed in avoiding: marriage.'"
