Exaggeration
(Story time: when I was younger, I used to struggle with exaggerating events that happened to me. For example, say I was waiting in line at Chipotle and someone cut in front of me. I would say this:
So there was this really long line at Chipotle and I was exhausted/super hungry and was running late to a school event. As I’m waiting, all of a sudden a customer walks in and everyone in the line immediately turns around and looks at this customer. The guy, however, is only looking at me. He begins walking (with a swagger) towards me, head tilted like an alpha male, and audaciously cuts in front of me! He then looks back at me and says, with scorn: “Oh sorry, I didn’t see you there.” -sneers at me- “I’m sure you don’t mind.” He then grabs his phone and begins texting his friends, saying: “hey guys! I just cut in front of this loser at Chipotle! You guys should come here and cut in front of him, too!” Then the person behind me pats my shoulder and says: “Try not to take it personally, kid. That’s Cutter Joe. His hobby is cutting in front of people in lines, and he does this everywhere!”
What really happened:
So there was a short line at Chipotle and I decided to lean on one of the poles, so I was kinda out of sight. A customer walks -no one notices him- and stands in line. A few seconds later he notices me and says “Oh sorry! I didn’t see you there.” And begins to step back to let me back in line. I then say to him “Don’t worry about it. I’m in no rush.” He then says “thanks!” and grabs his phone to check the time).

@stephen i think we would have been friends as kids. you me & @Mollie could’ve talked our way around just about anyone 😂
(@Elise, I think we would’ve been, too. Though we’d probably have got each other in trouble all the time 😂😂 Like my best friend in 3rd grade. We were always in and out of detention)
