Looking for a book that I read around 1998-2002. It was about a teenage boy transported to some sort of Mars like desert planet. I’m sorry I don’t remember any more details than that. It didn’t seem like a terribly old book at the time and I don’t remember much about the plot but I remember the book had a deserty orange cover and had a short title. It was in English. It was NOT dune. Thanks! It’s been driving me nuts

by Robert Heinlein is about several teenagers being transported to another planet where they have to survive. I've shared the orange cover but it looks like this one was published a long time back.

I can't remember if it was a desert planet or not. Sorry.
