Leisa (weaer714) | 4 comments Night by Elie Wiesel is an autobiography about WWII and the Holocaust.

It was originally written in Yiddish, then a shorter version in French then translated to English.

message 5: by Paula (new)

Paula Vince | 2 comments A Man Called Ove by Frederick Backman has been getting a lot of acclaim and some excellent reviews. It was translated from Swedish, I think. I might look that one up.

message 6: by Claire (new)

Claire (claire6452) I just completed Our Holocaust. It's a fact-based novel in which the son of Holocaust survivors documents the experiences of his family and neighbors. It was originally written in Hebrew, and translated by Jessica Cohen.

I find that book to be a good account of the Holocaust. I am reading the 2nd book of that trilogy

Leisa (weaer714) | 4 comments Tiffani - me too! I just finished reading Night for the second time. I'm going to start Dawn tonight.

message 9: by Tiffanie (new)

Tiffanie | 9 comments I feel like that Dawn is not as good as Night. I mean it doesn't give in deepth how the camps were, I was a bit disappointed. But I guess it is from another prospective point of view.

message 10: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Elizabeth | 1 comments I read The Dinner for this one

message 11: by Madeline (new)

Madeline I'm going to read The Little Prince for this one, originally written in French. As a bonus it's a little shorter as well.
