I think you may enjoy that regardless of how it turns out. I'm willing to bet a nickel on it. No - two nickels!

It can go a lot of ways but the prose alone was worth it for me. I was engaged in this one.

If you still don't like it after 50%, maybe time to release it. Others need to give input on that. I loved it but hate to see someone read what they aren't enjoying.
