Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) | 206 comments Let's end this year a little different.

So most of us signed up for challenges at the beginning of the year saying that we will read certain books. You know the ones: The Alphabet Challenge, The Colors of the Rainbow Challenge, Numbers Challenges, Objects, Themes, Seasons, ect. Now it's the end of the year and you are struggling to find a book to read that fits into whatever challenge you need to finish.

So start a thread, list what you need help with, and list what type of books you usually read. Your partner will be tasked with attempting to find a book you may like that has what you need, even it's not on your TBR.

If you don't have any open challenges that you need help with or just want your partner to pick a book from your shelf, we can do that as well. just post the shelf as you normally would.

Since you will need more time to get a list together for this month's challenge, I opened sign ups early and I will be posting partners early as well, that way they have time to find you a good book.

I will assign partners November 21st. Please have your picks posted no later than December 4th.

Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) | 206 comments I don't have on going challenges. I will edit this post to include a shelf to pick from.

Just pick from my want to read shelf

message 4: by D.L. (new)

D.L. This is a really good idea. I have quite a number of challenges that need finishing so this will be helpful. Is this what you had in mind?

Genres preferred: Romance, mystery, classics, YA/children's.
Length preferred: Under 300 pages -if possible- since I need to finish the books quickly (time is running short!)

Looking for the following:

-- A book with a title that starts with "J"
-- A book with a title that starts with "X"
-- A book with the word "Together" somewhere in the title
-- A standalone book with a title that starts with "N"

Thank you!

Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) | 206 comments D.L. that is exactly what I was talking about!

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 225 comments Okay - here are some books I'd like to find/finish:

Read a book where there is one of these names: Russell, Justin, or Sid
Read a book where a character dances in the book
Read a book where a main character's friends or relatives don't know they are actually wealthy or doing well with money
Read a book where a character buys a car for someone else, or receives one as a gift from another character
Read a book where a main character cooks for a large group of people

Also some Netgalley and Edelweiss books to be published in late Nov/December:

The Midnight Lock (Lincoln Rhyme #15) by Jeffery Deaver Beasts of a Little Land by Juhea Kim The Ballerinas by Rachel Kapelke-Dale A Killer by Design Murderers, Mindhunters, and My Quest to Decipher the Criminal Mind by Ann Burgess The Hawthorne School by Sylvie Perry Renewed for Murder (Blue Ridge Library Mysteries #6) by Victoria Gilbert

Enjoy!

message 38: by Elinaly (new)

Elinaly Donna wrote: "I am doing Theme Wars: Christmas so I could use suggestions for these themes... "

Hi Donna! So I found you some suggestions:

Trees - Killer Cruise (Cruise Ship Cozy Mysteries, #1) by A.R. Winters (palms on cover, yeah... still trees!)
Gingerbread - A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher (cover)
Bells - The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (title)
Mistletoe - In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren (from a synopsis: "...Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe...")

Gosh, its so much easier just to pick from the given TBR shelf :D
