Oh, so many! I want to read more books by Orson Scott Card, Martha Wells, Becky Chambers, Alexander McCall Smith, Temple Grandin, James Patterson, Alice Hoffman, Edith Wharton, Louise Erdrich, Jane Harper, Louisa May Alcott, Dorothy Gillman, Anthony Horowitz, Brandon Sanderson, Nic Stone, Patti Callahan (Henry), Fredrik Backman, Becky Albertalli, Matt Haig, Tana French, John Grisham, Jennifer Niven, Agatha Christie. And on... 😋

This is so subjective to each reader, there is no Listopia.

Ashleigh Motbey (ashybear02) | 144 comments I am possibly cheating in this, but I'll be reading Wounded Magic for this as I am currently reading book 1, Ruthless Magic and earlier this year I read the prequel to the same series.

I also might use the sequels to the Ink and Bone if I can't fit them elsewhere

Debbie (debzanne) | 165 comments Just a reminder, that you could read books by authors that also have nom de plumes. For example, I know Daniel Handler has his own books, but those written "by" Lemony Snicket. So if you read an author this year that you didn't particularly like the genre or style of, they may be still be eligible as someone else... kind of. Did that make sense? :)

message 4: by Brianna (new)

Brianna Flores (disneywitch22) | 34 comments I’m either going to pick between Gillian Flynn (read Gone Girl. looooooved it) or Kirsten Hannah (read the great alone. Also great read).

message 5: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (ejaeger) | 9 comments I read The Family Upstairs and The Last House Guest this year so I will probably read another book by Megan Miranda or Lisa Jewell because I enjoyed both books so much!

message 6: by Denise (last edited Dec 12, 2021 09:55AM) (new)

Denise | 374 comments I read Circe by Madeline Miller earlier this year, so I'm going with The Song of Achilles :)

Circe also works for the witch prompt, for anyone interested.

message 7: by Marianne (new)

Marianne | 14 comments I’m reading the sleepwalker (Chris bohijlian)

message 8: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments I'll probably read The Return .

I've read nearly all of his books but I also want to branch out and find something new rather than something comfortable.

message 9: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments Okay on second thought this is tricky.

I suppose I'll stick with another The Wheel of Time Series 1-15 Books Collection Set Pack (Book 1-14) By Robert Jordan since I've been reading book 1 already this year.

message 10: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments While I might stick with TWOT, I'm trying to think of others but nothing serious comes to mind.

message 11: by Dana (new)

Dana Cristiana (silvermoon1923) Many choices. I will get back.

LeahS | 491 comments I've just read Night by Elie Wiesel. I read A Jew Today by the same author for the Past, Present, Future prompt in ATY 2021.

It is a powerful testament to the author's experiences in the Holocaust and must have been even more powerful when first published in 1958.

message 15: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 782 comments I read Razorblade Tears by S.A.Cosby for this prompt. I read Blacktop Wasteland in 2021. Both were 5 star reads for me.

message 16: by JessicaMHR (new)

message 18: by Matt (new)

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahbastien1) | 113 comments I read 5 writers in 2021: Maggie Stiefvater, Yaa Gyasi, Susan Cooper, Rebecca Makkai, and Elizabeth Everett. Really could go for more from any of them (I didn't enjoy the Everett book that much, but if pressed for a quick read for this prompt I'd be willing to pick up another just for kicks).

message 20: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments Another I plan to read is Sea of Tranquility .

Harlem Shuffle was a dark, thoughtful, amazingly-written book. I liked it.

message 31: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (mimbza) | 109 comments The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn is a historical fiction based on the story of Lyudmila Pavlichencko, a Ulkrainian sniper known by the Russians as Lady Death for her part in fighting against the German invasion of her homeland in WW2. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review

message 32: by Vaish (new)

Vaish B (vaishubieber) | 100 comments I read Cilka's Journey{Cilka's Journey} for this prompt. Its about a girl Cilka who is in very harsh conditions in the 40s like a concentration camp and a gulag. She is a very brave girl who does what she can to survive . When I read the The Tattooist of Auschwitz, last year, I was immediately drawn to Cilka and I was so glad this book came out.
Cilka's Journey (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, #2) by Heather Morris
