I'll be reading
I don't read scary books, so I chose a book with the shadow of a cat on the cover, All the lonely people. It was okay, there was a lot of sadness and racism, and some unexpected plottwists that I didn't really care for. I'm not sure if I'd recommend this to anyone. Challenge complete.
CHALLENGE COMPLETE :-) I read Gabriel Bryne's "Walking With Ghosts" - a very human look at a man I admire, no excuses or avoiding difficult topics. This was an easy read that served as a much needed reminder that everyone has issues and our difficult times do pass.

Challenge Completed: The Listener by Robert McCammon
I love McCammon's work, and this book was no different. Great read!
Completed, mostly black cover. It was kinda fun to read the first Hercule Poirot series case. I've not read a lot of Christie, but I do like what I read. Being it took place and was written in 1920, I was surprised I didn't even miss the lack of tech since I was busy wondering what Poirot would come up with next. The Mysterious Affair at Styles Agatha Christie 10/25/21
Agatha Christie 10/25/21
Challenge complete!Book: Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky
Black cover - Horror story
Summary - Christopher, a 7 year old boy is special. And his new secret friend in the Mill Grove woods behind his house, is going to save him from the evil he discovers. Or so he thinks. Sounded good, but was not as good as hoped.

My October read for this challenge was: The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao To be honest, without a reading challenge I wouldn't have picked this one up. I usually don't read this kind of book but it was pretty good.
