SOLVED. Children/Middle Grade book about three or four sisters and an island in the UK (Isle of Man?), read in 2007. [s]

I assume this book was originally from the UK, but I read a German translation when I was about 11. The cover of this edition was yellow and it might have had a picture of the sisters on it (cartoon style). I barely remember the plot, but there was something about an island, which might have been the Isle of Man. Maybe they were planning on going on vacation or they were just frequently talking of swimming all the way?? And I think there was also something about the parents, maybe they were thinking of getting a divorce. And the sisters (I think there were four of them, might have been three) all had different personalities, I think one of them liked to read.
I realize I barely remember anything but if anyone could help me find this, I would be so grateful!! I feel like it is the kind of book my little brother would love!
