Did you give this book a rating, TerryJane? It sounds right up my alley.

Martha, are you wondering about Spirit Run: A 6,000-Mile Marathon Through North America's Stolen Land? If so, I gave it 3 stars. It was good, though not quite what I expected. I don't know if these ultramarathons ever pass through my area, so I'm not likely to have learned about the Peace & Dignity Journeys without reading Mr. Alvarez's memoir. Definitely worth reading. 🙂
Update to post #17.

Yes and thank you for your comments. I run these kinds of events and am always curious about others' experiences. I'll see if my library has it.

A Boy Called Bat by Elana K. Arnold (there is a bat word)

PROGRESS: 4/10

Funny... I, too, have winged books planned by Barbara Kingsolver and an Agatha Christie, but mine are Prodigal Summer and Cat Among the Pigeons. You're updated!

Hi, Patricia. I'm not sure if you're adding titles to your planned list, or if you've already read the three books you listed in post #60. I looked back at your original post #51 to see if you had marked your progress there, but it still has only the original two titles.
Do you know how to edit your original post? At the bottom right of post #51, you should see reply | edit. Click "edit" there, make any changes, then click the Edit Post button to save it.
You may want to add a line that shows Progress: 0/4 (or 3/4?), for example. You can also add new winged books to your list. As you read and update your original post, be sure to include the progress you've made when you make a new update post.
From post #2:
To have your challenge updated on the participants list, please post an update comment that includes both your original message number and progress.
Example: Updated msg #10: 2/8
Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I can help or answer any questions. 🙂

Unexpectedly there were some Things with Wings in the story of Throne of Glass in the form of (view spoiler) . Not a big reference, but since I had to DNF one of my planned ‘wings’-books for the month, I’m taking it 😅

The Last Hawk - hawk in the title and outline of hawk and planes on the cover.
As I found two novellas by Elizabeth Wein (the above and another called White Eagles that I will read soon), please can I up my goal to 5 books?

Also, if any of you haven't yet voted for our 2022 Yearly Theme , fly on over to the poll and cast your vote! We want to hear from you. 🙂

...please can I up my goal to 5 books?"
