YA Sci Fi. Town turned into Simulation.

I read this book last year, it's part of a series that I think came out in the 2010s. It followed a high school-aged girl who lived in a trailer with her mom and she would get "killed" every year on her birthday and wake up in the same place. She went to a psychiatrist that was in on the whole ordeal. The government was aware of some catastrophe that was coming as so they planned to turn this town into a simulation so life could continue in a way. I think the only entrance to the town was a bridge. The "killing" was some sort of training and there was one other kid who was selected for it. I think the high schoolers were all stuck into the simulation and it became some sort of free for all in the next book.

I think at some point in the novel, the protagonist's friend blows up the rich kid at school's Jeep.
